Summer Camp - Week 5

On Monday, we got lost in Seattle trying to find Jefferson Park. Some of the areas that we drove through was pretty scary. When we finally made it to our destination, we played at the park and went on the ziplines.

On Tuesday, we went on a hike at Hillcrest Park in Mount Vernon & rollerskating at the Skagit Skate Rink.

On Thursday, we went to a Seattle playground and Alki Beach. I always love going to Alki and walking by all the shops, playing in the sand, & watching the tourists. On my break, I went to The Beachside Cafe and got a delicious Strawberry Lemonade drink.

On Friday, we went to a craft class where we learned the history of crayons. We also learned that the average person goes through 730 crayons by the time they are 10 years old. Then we got to do a fun craft project by melting crayons. After the class, we got to play at the Everett Children`s Museum.

Darrington Bluegrass Festival

On Saturday, we went to the Bluegrass Festival and we saw our old pal, Mike Wooten. It was cool running into him and watching him perform. He even did a shout out to us. FUN!! Mike was playing with the band, The Combinations. We also saw alot of other great bands like Northern Departure (local band), Mountain Faith (North Carolina band), Country Current (Navy band- we really like this band!) and some more local bands...Grapevine, Great Northern Planes, and Thea Wescott & Timberland Ridge. It was a beautiful day and a great place to enjoy some foot stompin` music. We thank God for a day of songs!!
