December Daily- Day 6
O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant!!
Today we started our Advent study and enjoyed our time together sharing, praying, and singing a Christmas carol. Celebrating Christmas is a reminder to focus on God`s great gift to us. He sent His Son to be born, to live on earth, to teach His people, and to suffer and die for our sins. Thank you Lord for the greatest gift that we will ever recieve.

December Daily- Day 5
We mailed over 40 Christmas cards this year. I love picking out cards for everyone and getting to sit down and address them all. I was talking to my friend at work today and we both agreed on how nice it would be to send a card out to friends and family for each holiday. What a joy it is to recieve a card or nice note in your mailbox once in awhile. So I encourage you this Christmas to support your local post office and send out some "slug" slow mail.

December Daily- Day 4
Day 4- Today I worked on hand sewing a few of my Christmas gifts. I found beautiful fabric and I am using some buttons that my friend gave me. This year I started early on the Christmas projects so I am hoping to give everyone something that is homemade.

December Daily- Day 3
Day 3- The girls helped me decorate my room. I always love opening my Christmas totes and going through these great memories. It was fun to share stories with the girls and let them know about the special people that gave me these ornaments, pictures, and decorations. My favorite Christmas was when the whole family gave homemade gifts. I really treasure those items.

December Daily- Day 2
Day 2- We found a little cute Christmas tree at Fred Meyer`s called an Elf Tree. The kids had fun walking by all the trees while eating their sugar cookies. After work and picking up baby Violet, we got to decorate the tree.

December Daily- Day 1
Day 1- On this very cold day, Shawn and I shared a Starbucks mocha and gingerbread latte by the Haggen fireplace. Its fun just to sit and chat for awhile after a long day at work. I love those red holiday cups!!

Happy Thanksgiving
Give thanks to the Lord always!!
Today was a lovely day at home. Everyone slept in then Nana made a delicious breakfast casserole for our Thanksgiving brunch. We relaxed, watched the "Christmas Vacation" movie, and did alot of baking for tomorrow`s dessert party. I made quite the mess while making the Rice Krispie treats. We are looking forward to having a fun Thanksgiving celebration, playing games and eating delicious desserts with our family tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving!!
