On Friday, we were scheduled to go to Jetty Island but unfortunately the weather was not cooperating (thunder, lightning, and rain). We went bowling at Strawberry Lanes instead. The kids had a lot of fun and I only "almost" got hit by a bowling ball twice. It was fun for me too...watching the kids slide down the bowling lanes, settling the fights over whose bowling ball was whose, tying all those colorful bowling shoes, watching the public give us glares, dodging the bowling balls that were flying back at me, and trying to keep the peace from the angry bowling attendents when the kids dropped the bowling balls & when they sent a bowling ball down the lane to soon.

Camping at Flowing Lake
Papa and Nana took the girls camping at Flowing Lake while friends & I had a Scrapbook Retreat at The Casey House. On their camping trip, they stayed in a very cute cabin. They had lots of fun hiking, fishing, berry picking, and playing at the park.
Megan is testing out the Luggable Loo in this picture. Nana & Papa said that they were so glad that they bought this portable toliet because the public bathrooms were a long way from the cabins. The girls also thought it was neat to have their own privacy room in the cabin and they liked the Luggable Loo.
Katie climbing the bunk beds.
The girls playing in the backyard of the cabin.
Peek a Boo!!
Katie and Megan getting ready to roast marshmellows.
Emma caught the largest perch.
Katie and Megan had fun playing with the fish that Papa, Nana, & Emma caught.

Summer Camp - Week 3
On Tuesday, we went to Edmonds City Park and swimming at the Yost Pool. Super Fun!!
On Thursday, we went to the Peter Kirk Park in Kirkland then waterplay at the Sprinklers.
On Friday, we went to the Lynndale park then to my favorite place...Creation Station!! I love watching the kids use their imaginations here and make fun creations. Every summer the kids have a favorite project and usually alot of them make it. The bow & arrow was the favorite this time. I made an owl with foam material, puzzle pieces, a view finder, plastic, and quilting material.
Creation Station has always been a fairly safe place for a field trip but today was another story. One of the Y kids stapled his fingers while working on his craft project. He had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance. Pretty crazy for a craft day!!!

Summer Camp- Week 2
On Sunday and 4th of July, I painted my room & bathroom. What a mess!! Its official...I don`t enjoy painting rooms. I would rather work a whole week with the Y kids then one day painting a room.
On Monday, we went to the Seattle Children`s Museum. They have fun art rooms and a lego room!!
On Tuesday, we went to the movies and saw Madagascar 3. It was a great raining day activity!!
On the 4th of July, the Anderbergs invited us over to celebrate the holiday. We enjoyed roasting hotdogs & marshmellows, singing campfire songs, and hanging out together.
On Thursday, we went to Legion Park and swimming at the YMCA.
Today we went to the Burke Museum in Seattle. We had a nice tour guide with a funny accent named Paul. He took us on a scavenger hunt then we got to make dinosaur masks. After the museum visit, we went to Matthews Beach and played games. It was a beautiful day (wish we could of went swimming at the beach).
