This week Nana has not felt very good and last Sunday she had real bad back pains. I was hoping to be home on Monday to help her but I got a call to go to work. The field trip on Monday was to Deception Pass and Port Orchard City Park, Wading Pool, & Beach. The weather on the island was alot cooler and it actually rained a little. It was quite a relief from the heat that we had over the weekend. On my break, I took a stroll on the boardwalk and saw some great views & pretty flowers. This is a really nice park but look out for loose screws in the wading pool (one of the kids cut their foot very deep on the pool filter). We stayed on site on Wednesday and I got off work early & spent some time with Evan. On Thursday (Emma`s Birthday), we went to Willis Tucker Sprinkler Park & icecream at McDonalds (that was crazy with 50+ kids). I wish that I would of had Thursday off so that I could of spent some time with Emma for her birthday but on my break I did get to chat with her on the phone. I can`t believe that she is eleven years old. Nana, Papa, & I did get to spend time with her sisters on Thursday night. They spent the night so Cheri & Seth could spend time with the birthday girl. On Friday, we went to Camano Island & Freedom Park. It was a beautiful sunny day to be at the beach and the park was very cute & artsy. Of course the Y kids always keep us on our toes, one naughty girl tried to steal money from the park`s donation box. She had actually got a dollar out of the box by using a stick to pull it out. This girl was such a brat that she did not want to give the dollar back. She kept insisting that it was her dollar and that she had found it. It was so embarrassing with the public watching & one guy even asking her if she knew what that dollar was for. We told her that she was stealing & that she could go to jail for that and she still didn`t want to give it back(somedays I need lots of prayer). The director took the money from her and put it back in the box. She was sent to the bus for a talk & think time. Sometimes I feel that these Y kids need a bigger punishment for their actions but that never happens. I NEED AN ADVIL!! When I got home, Nana was still not feeling good so I helped her with Evan. Cheri took Papa to a doctor`s appointment for his eye. He got some new medication that makes him real sensitive to the sun. On Saturday, we went shopping and he had to wear a long sleeve shirt and a brim hat. I thought that he looked Amish and Cheri said that all he needed was a pair of cowboy boots to complete his outfit.
