Papa and Nana celebrated their 42nd Anniversary. We enjoyed sitting down for a big breakfast after spending the last few days camping and eating cold food out of the car.
This was a very interesting marker that was made with petrified wood.
Papa has always wanted to see the Devils Tower so we headed that way. The Indians called this the "Rock Tree". The drive to the Tower was very beautiful and we saw lots of prairie dogs. They are so cute. The park said to not feed or try to touch them. The prairie dogs have fleas that carry fatal diseases. They are known to bite humans and their homes can also be a habitat for rattle snakes.
Nana with her "Don`t Feed the Prairie Dogs" bag. In the visitor center, we saw alot of climber info and supplies (portable toilets). I do not think that I will be climbing that huge rock!
We met a very nice lady from Arizona that took our photo. She has been on vacation for two and a half months and plans to see all fifty states (she has 20 states to go). She has already visited Washington state.
After leaving the Devils Tower Park, we headed towards Montana. We saw this open field that was full of antelope. When we pulled over to take pictures of them, they just sat there and stared at us. It is so fun to see all God`s creatures in their natural habitat.
