4th of July Celebrations

At Tuesday Night Bible Study, we had a little 4th of July celebration with yummy candy & decorations.

On Friday, Emma & Nana celebrated with a sleepover, chocolate chip cookies, & "Power Legs" candy.
We celebrated with the Anderbergs at Lake Goodwin Community Beach on Saturday.
Today was a beautiful sunshine, castle making, splish splash, and goggle wearing day.
Violet`s 1st day at the beach.

It was sad to say goodbye to the beach but work must be done.
After soaking up the sun at the beach, it was time to clean the Casey Homestead.
We started with the garden shed. Papa put up new shelves while Nana & I organized.
We our so grateful for this space. Hardwork equals great rewards & a clean shed.
On Sunday, we started cleaning and organizing the garage.
But when we moved the freezer to make way for new shelves, it stopped working.
We had just bought a whole load of groceries. So Papa & Nana headed into town for a new freezer.

Almost $500 later...we celebrated the day with a shiny new organized freezer.

Today, we celebrated our country`s birthday with a BBQ.
I love decorating for parties & putting out our old holiday pictures.

Papa`s cookin on his redneck BBQ pit. Papa yells "Fire in the hole" when the fireworks boom.

Aunt Katherine requested the "Chili Whatever" (her name for chili relleno).
Nana is comforting Jenna. She really does not like the fireworks this year.
Nana made a yummy cheesecake and sugar free brownies.
We thank God for our family, for memories, and for our freedom.
