Day 8- Disneyland- Part I

We were so glad to be at "The Happiest Place on Earth" today. The park looked very beautiful. Buildings were all decorated for fall and even the characters were dressed in their halloween costumes.

For lunch we ate at our favorite restaurant in the park, Rancho del Zocalo. We were surprised by how much the food costs at Disneyland. Everything has really went up in prices. We decided to save a few cents and we bought the Bean Burrito Kid`s Meals. They were actually very delicious and only cost $6.95 each. In the meal, we got one bean & cheese burrito, rice, apple sauce, and a small drink. The food came in these cute mickey mouse dishes that we got to keep.

We always enjoy Disneyland`s landscape. On this visit, the park was full of fall colors and beautiful flowers. I am always amazed by their designed hedges.

Disneyland has so many delicious treats. Nana and Papa got some sugar free chocolate pecan clusters. This Disney chef is making carmel covered marshmellows and yummy "fall" desserts.

After waiting in line and almost ready to get on the Indiana Jones ride, it broke down. So we headed to the Tiki Room. Crowds were all around us. We tried to dart in and out of shops but there was so many people. For some reason, they also liked to stop right in front of Nana`s wheelchair and we almost ran them over.

Our last ride of the day was "It`s a Small World". On the boat ride, we were seated in the very last row. In front of us, sat two hefty young men. For some reason, they found it fun to lean over the edge of the boat and reach into the water. Unfortunately every time they did this it felt as if the boat was going to tip over. I didn`t know whether to laugh or just be very scared. We just laughed and hung on for dear life.

Disneyland has emptied our pockets so we had to get some cash at the end of the day.
