Birch Bay Scrapbook Retreat

We are so excited to get on the road. Birch Bay Retreat here we come...oops...a few of us are running late...ah oh...some forgot important stuff...and...last minute shopping at Safeway & JoAnn Crafts...finally we get going...yea!!! We made a few stops on the way...Paper Zone (everything was 30% off), Stampadoodle (their sign looks like Skippers), and lunch at the Olive Garden (we tried to get Violet to eat eggplant but she does not like vegetables).

After lunch, we headed to the condos at Birch Bay. Finally it is scrapbook time!! Everyone started working on their projects...
Carrie worked on a wedding album and her December Daily.

Cheri worked on albums for the girls.

Deborah worked on her vacation album.

Felicia had many projects!! She worked on her December Daily and albums for Caitlyn, Evan, Missy, and Jeff. She also made a 2012 calendar for her mother.

Sabrina worked on her family album.
I worked on my Autumn 2011 album and Valentine cards.

Violet played with her toys, ate her gerber treats, and kept her mom busy with dirty diapers & feeding times.

There was alot of delicious dinners, fun movie & popcorn times, overdoses on candy, and Ninja mochas. Carrie made these cute snowman covers for chocolate bars.

On my daily garbage run, I was able to see the sunrises and enjoy the beach views. Birch Bay is a beautiful place. I am so happy to be here and get this time to relax, scrapbook, and stay in my pajamas all day. It was nice that we got an extra day for this scrapbook retreat. On Friday, we had to say "goodbye". Cheri did some last minute sewing then rushed to get everything packed up. We all had alot of stuff and it took several trips with many luggage carts to get it all back to the vans.

On our last trip down with luggage, I met this little old lady. She sure was a hoot!!! Because we were running a little late, Felicia had propped the main entrance door open to the condos with a luggage cart. The lady came up to it and I explained to her why we were leaving it open. We did not want to get locked out (it was check-out time and we did not know if our key would work to get back in). I moved the cart for her to get in then I placed it back to prop the door. In a grumpy old person voice, she said, "I could of done that!!". TOO FUNNY!!! We laughed alot. After that it seemed like we continually saw her, she was on the elevator when we left, she was in the lobby when Cheri returned the keys, and she passed our van when we were waiting to leave. I took a couple of pictures of her...the last one looks like she is waving goodbye to us.

Birch Bay was an awesome time! I really love my sister and all of our friends lots!! Thank You God for this time of fellowship, creative creations, relaxation, and manys laughs. Thank you to Cheri & Seth for letting us use their condo for our annual scrapbook retreats.
