Day 15- Harrison Square

Today we went to a little street fair in Harrison. They had beautiful quilts, handmade gifts, crafts for the kids, live music, and local goods. The Harrison Square was all decorated in fall festive colors. Nana and I found this hilarious camouflage dressed scarecrow.

We sampled fresh brewed root beer. Delicious!!

 The Hillbilly ATM...

JR tried a homemade cupcake. The fair offered alot of baked goods and local food (pulled pork sandwiches, jams, farm vegetables, and fresh pork rinds). The booths were ran by local families, businesses, and some churches (Mennonites had a fresh baked goods booth). It was interesting to mingle with the locals and listen to their accents.

Some Local History...

Some Funnel Cake History...

The Boone County Animal Shelter had brought some dogs and cats to the fair. They were trying to find some homes for these cute guys. Nana and I fell in love with this sleepy puppy. Seeing all the dogs made me miss Jenna.

Nana and I had a fun time with Sheryll and JR. We enjoyed visiting the fair in town while Papa was with his brothers in the Ozark hills. Papa said he also had fun down in the "holler" eating fried squirrel. We thank God for Arkansas family and the time that we have to spend with them.
